What to Expect

We are so very thankful you are considering joining us for a Sunday service! Now you might be thinking what can I expect when I arrive? First of all our atmosphere is a casual one. We certainly don’t mind if you prefer to dress up; however, our mantra is “come as you are, but don’t leave as you were”. With all our heart, please feel welcome regardless of your dress. Secondly, our atmosphere is one that includes contemporary music. Our feeling is worship is an experience that is between people and God and we want to do our very best to facilitate that. You will find the layout to be simple, straightforward songs that can hopefully be a conduit for you to connect with the Father. Thirdly, we offer children’s church for 3rd grade and younger. While our hope is to eventually have a complete children’s ministry, since we are a new church plant, we want to offer up services in a way that will safely and effectively care for your kids. Children that are older than 3rd grade are welcome to sit with you and worship as a family. Lastly, our teaching will be done in a way that is appealing to the newest church attender hoping to learn more about the God of the Universe and also offer nuggets of spiritual treasure to the most proficient of believers. We will be working through scriptures book by book, chapter by chapter, verse by verse and building on knowledge precept upon precept. So, this is what to expect from Woodlawn Chapel in a nutshell and we hope to see you soon!

Our Mission & Vision

Our mission at Woodlawn Chapel is not a complicated one. We hope to “simply teach the Bible simply”. Through this message, we hope to plant the seeds of the Gospel in the hearts of the people who enter the doors. Our evangelistic outreach will be birthed from this because well frankly, it is you. The apostle Paul says “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God” Romans 12:2. So as Paul so aptly put, we want to see transformation; and it all starts with the Holy Spirit working in you. You are our evangelistic program that will go out and “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” Matt 28:19. So come get filled and then go splash out all over this community of ours. “Will you not revive us again, that Your people may rejoice in You?” Ps. 85:6. We believe He will!
